Researcher on EEG project ‘Measuring electricity reliability with GridWatch sensors’

Dr. Noah Klugman is a co-founder and CEO of nLine Inc., a company that monitors the performance of national electricity grids by developing and deploying smart and connected sensors. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, where his research focused on overcoming challenges with deploying large-scale sensor systems. This involved measurements of grid reliability in Accra as part of the EEG-funded research project on ‘Measuring electricity reliability with GridWatch sensors’ together with Catherine Wolfram. For this work, he received the 2019-2020 Sevin Rosen Funds Award for Innovation which is awarded annually to graduate students based on outstanding technical achievement in computer sciences or electrical engineering research.

Noah imagines a world where communities can easily deploy sensors in order to make data driven policy or lifestyle decisions while preserving the privacy of all community members
