Sied Hassen is a Senior Research Fellow at the Environment and Climate Research Center (ECRC), Policy Studies Institute. He coordinates the energy research programme at the centre. Sied also worked as a lecturer at the Economics Department, Mekelle University. Currently, he is a fellow candidate at the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Global Development Network (GDN) fellowship programme in applied Development Finance.

His work mainly focuses on households’ and enterprises’ energy efficiency and energy access issues. He completed his PhD at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.
