Kyle Emerick is Assistant Professor at Tufts University’s Department of Economics in Medford, US, and holds the James L. Paddock Junior Professorship in International Economics. 

His areas of expertise include development economics – with a particular focus on the economics of agricultural development – and applied econometrics. His work has included studies on the effects of risk-reducing technologies on the decisions of poor farmers in rural India, the efficiency of informal seed exchanges between Indian farmers, and the effects of more secure property rights on labour reallocation in Mexico. His studies rely on both field experiments and observational data. 

Kyle has a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics and a BS from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MS from the University of Arizona.
