Gunther Bensch is a researcher in the Department of Environment and Resources at RWI Leibniz Institute for Economic Research. His fields of research include environment and energy economics and policy, with a special emphasis on the empirical evaluation of development policies such as improved cookstoves and infrastructure interventions. As part of this research, he designed and conducted studies involving large-scale household and enterprise surveys, notably in Africa.
