Dr. Leake is an assistant professor at Mekelle Institute of Technology, Mekelle University (MIT-MU). His focus is on power quality regulation within the European Framework, and his research interests includes power quality, renewable energy systems, power electronics and their applications.

He has a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from MIT, an MSc diploma in Electrical Power Engineering from the TU Delft, Netherlands, and a PhD diploma in Power Quality from the Electrical Energy Systems group of the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands.
